PERCH are the big fish to catch today and it’s no wonder, given that they’ll feed right through the winter and that many fisheries hold them to a surprising size.

The capture of a 2lb fish no longer seems to raise any eyebrows, and a 3lb specimen is now viewed as the benchmark.
