Bag a new best at Furnace Mill
FURNACE MILL, WORCS
TO catch a perch personal best, how about a trip to Furnace Mill Fishery?
The Worcestershire venue is well known for its big stripeys and following last year’s stocking of specimens to over 4lb, anglers are reporting fish of 3lb-plus.
The best catches are currently being made on Furnace and Mill Pools to worms or prawns, but it’s well worth trying other swims on the complex.
Fishery owner Ed Brown allows anglers to drop shot for perch too, and some anglers have been using the tactic recently with good results.
If perch aren’t your thing, good bags of chub, skimmers and roach can also be had.
On Mucky Meadow a chub net of 30lb-plus is easily achievable. Anglers are still catching them shallow on caster at the moment.
