Provided that there’s a depth of around 4ft across to the far bank you can find chub, especially if there’s a feature such as a boat or overhanging trees. Big chub love a bit of cover to ambush their food and on this line you’re looking at fishing rod and line with a waggler or feeder. The feeder presents a static bait in just the right spot and a maggot version will work better than a groundbait feeder in clearish water. The float allows you to run a bait along the edge of any cover on days when the chub aren’t settling in one spot.
