Preston Innovations Thatcher’s didn’t manage to sign off this campaign with victory, but second on the day behind Mosella Bathampton saw them win the league by a point from Bathampton. Thatcher’s had a good day on the individual front, taking the leading four places. Tim Ford won with 17-12-0 from
the bay at Richardson’s, where he caught roach and skimmers using breadpunch, dead maggot and bloodworm on the long pole. Team-mate Nigel Evans swapped between waggler and long pole with maggot from the same area for second on 15-12-0 of roach, bleak, dace and small chub.
