What do people see in wishy-washy F1s?

I LOVE mixed-species venues, but I really can’t be doing with F1s.

One of the most pleasing things about fishing for me is how different one fish can look to the next, even though they are of the same species.

With bream, for example, one fish could be fairly pale with a narrow back while the next could be almost black and have a back almost as thick as your forearm!

But F1s all look the same. Often washed out and pale, they have no character whatsoever and I have no interest at all in catching them. Sean Clarke, email
