Why don’t we have a paperless licence? It would save money!

A LOT of money must be spent on printing rod licences and sending them out, so why don’t we make it paperless?

If Environment Agency staff want to do a check, they could take a device such as a tablet with them, ask the angler’s name and address and then do a search to see if they have paid for a licence.
