Pines Tanner’s & Woodpecker Lakes (30 pegs) England star Des Shipp topped this festival with a five-point score across the week, ending up three points clear of runner-up Adam Lee. Des began with a section win on Monday, with 53-0-0 of roach, skimmers and crucians at peg 11 on the Pines Lake. He fished worm and caster at 13m and 6m, following that up with another win at Woodpecker Lake peg 15 with 30-0-0 of skimmers on pellet at 10m and worm at 13m. Wednesday produced a section win again, with 38-0-0 of skimmers on maggot at 5m, pellet at 10m and then worm at 13m off Tanner’s Lake peg 13. He then chalked up a second in section on Thursday with 28-0-0 of skimmers from Woodpecker Lake peg 20 again on pellet at 13m and maggot at 10m. Friday was a tough one, with 31-0-0 of skimmers and tench from peg 15 on the Pines Pool, a result he was to drop to give him his final winning score!
