Coarse anglers are having their pick of the fun, with maggots, worms and casters producing roach, perch and tench on the waggler or pole just yards from

the bank. For the carp, your best bet is to head to the pegs on The Cockle Bank or The Sluice, as these can reach the island at a comfortable 20 to 30yds chuck. The two Bowls are also worth fishing for carp, although the cast to the island is a little bit further. The fish will still patrol there however.
