BAIT-TECH SPECIAL ʻGʼ DARK

-

The recent introduction of the Dark version completes what is regarded as one of the finest ranges of groundbaits available.

I had a hand in developing Special ‘G’ Gold, which followed the supersuccessful Green version that was launched initially. As a result, Gold became my ‘go to’ mix for quite some time after its completion – it’s a groundbait I know very well, have used an awful lot and one that you can do so much with.

It’s a very pungent, fishy-based mix and the introduction of the dark variant makes Special ‘G’ a range that you can use year-round for everything commercial-carp/F1 and skimmer/ bream-based.

“Super-versatile and very effective – you can literally do anything and everything with this mix and fish do seem to love it!”

The newer Dark is made using the same super-soluble GPS90 as the Green and Gold versions, meaning it’s ideal for all water temperatures.

In addition the Dark is coloured by way of a natural pigment, so the colour will not wash out once introduced to the swim, which can happen with other mixes, or if you alter the colour of your groundbait yourself with bait dyes.

Darker mixes are not only useful in winter either, they can be great on all sorts of waters, especially where the fish can be a bit spooky. It’ll also work superbly as a paste hook bait or mixed very sloppy and fished with finely chopped worm when you’re targeting commercial carp, F1s and silvers shallow. If you’ve not tried any of the three Special ‘G’ mixes yet then I’d strongly suggest you give them a whirl. They’re super-versatile and very effective – you can literally do anything and everything with this mix and fish do seem to love it!
