Campbell & Cary Lakes (27 pegs) Gary Flinders finished this match with plenty in hand over the chasing pack. He bagged 175-3-0 of carp to 12lb, drawing peg 119 on the Campbell Lake and using pellet at 14m and meat in the margins. Brian Chivers was on nearby peg 116, where he took second with 133-15-0 of carp on pellet and meat.

Royal Berkshire Fishery, Lake 3 (18 pegs) Victory for Colin Killick helped move him into joint second overall with Dale Richardson. Terry Swan still holds the overall lead on 16 points. Colin drew peg 16 and went out to 16m with pellet to take 80-0-0 of carp. That left Ken Hallisey to settle for second with 74-4-0 from next door peg 15.

Puddledock Farm, Snake Lake (50 pegs) London cabbie Graham Dack used his knowledge of commercial­s to take another Snake Lake win from peg 39 with 125-8-0. Using meat both down the track at 6m and in the margins, the Maver/ SSP Baits man finished more than 10lb in front of runner-up Ross Harold, who was on peg 67.

Both lakes (10 pegs) The lakes are hitting top silverfish form now. A stunning 86-1-0 of ide, skimmers and roach secured victory for Paul Grant on peg 45, who fished maggot and caster shallow at 14.5m and 9m. He finished well in front of Paul Hyde’s second-best 33-5-0.

Nichols Pit (44 pegs) Round two honours went to Browning SE Sphere with 33 points from Maver Cardinals Red on 30. It’s a result that has little bearing overall, as the Browning Xitan team are leading on 66 points from APR and Preston Innovation­s Delcac Old Boys on 54 apiece. Maver Cardinals man Steve Palmer took the individual honours as he bagged 45-3-0 of bream on Method feeder and pellet from peg 42. Sphere’s Ian Carley followed with 44-4-0 of bream on standard groundbait feeder and worm tactics at peg 6.

Devizes MG White took the round on 73 points from Cwmbran Angling Nobblers on 71. The Welsh side supplied the winner, as Shaun Wilson took 21-13-0 of bream and skimmers from the Bayside section, fishing chopped worm and caster on the long pole. Andrew Chatterley finished second with 17-11-0 of bream and skimmers on pinkie and maggot fished over groundbait at 13m from the Roadside area.
