Carl leaves it late to bag his 55lb 7oz pb Sweet Cheeks
CARL Sharp struck at the right time to bag his third UK 50-pounder in the final week before the Avenue in Shropshire closed for 10 weeks.
The 55lb 7oz mirror, known as Sweet Cheeks, sets a new personal best for the Willenhall, West Midlands angler.
Arriving at a fairly busy lake, Carl found a swim towards the corner into which a northerly wind was pushing, and cast in a single PCF Stella Yella pop-up.
An hour later, he recast to some showing fish and was soon into the new personal best.
