VARY YOUR HOOKBAITS

Most spod soups form a light-coloured cloud in the water that stands out really well, but which can influence hookbait choice. Try starting off with a black hookbait, but if bites are hard to come by, try switching to a brighter colour. I like to have some off-white baits, as well as some bright colours, so that I can ring the changes.
