Fish want to be in the margins when the time comes, so you’re not trying to draw them into the swim with feeding from the start of a session - it’s more a case of adding enough fodder to keep getting bites when you begin to fish the margins. After a big initial hit, revert to dripping in some 4mm pellets or corn via a small pole pot each drop-in.
