I’M PLAIN NUTS ABOUT THIS BAIT
Tackle editor Marc Coulson reveals at least three good reasons to give Bait-Tech’s new boilie range a go…
NO NUTS allowed on the venue! That made it the perfect testing ground for the Triple-N.
Packed with peanut, tiger nut and hazelnut meal, the new bait from BaitTech offers all the advantages of nuts, without the risk of an embarrassing and almost certainly well-publicised ban.
Peanuts are my all-time favourite bait, so any boilie that has a decent amount in will always appeal. In the Triple-N, Bait-Tech has combined the three nut meals on a birdfood base mix, rounded perfectly with a liquid food attractor. The result is a truly outstanding bait.
I’ve recently been warned off tasting boilies (risk of the odd salmonellacausing bad egg being used, and all that) but couldn’t resist nibbling a few of these.
They tasted sublime to me and, while I hate to ever humanise carp, if it tastes this good to me then why shouldn’t they like it equally as much?
There can be no doubt, even just upon opening a bag of the freezer bait or shelf-life boilies, that there is plenty of nut content here. This is very much in keeping with modern trends towards nut-based baits as anglers crave a true all-year-round option.
As well as the boilies themselves, which are available in 10mm, 15mm and 18mm varieties – the smallest being a brilliant spod mix ingredient – a thick glug, a thinner stick mix liquid and a variety of hookbaits complete the range.
As well as the subtle brown popups and wafters to match the bottom baits, I like the fact that Bait-Tech also provides washed-out pink, yellow and white pop-ups in matching sizes.
If, like me, you appreciate having dedicated proprietary items to go with your favoured boilies, you’ll definitely like this selection.
All clichés aside, the Triple-N offers a complete baiting strategy in an ingredient combination that can be made to work on pretty much any water you choose to take it to.
A triple whammy, you could say...
