Unveiling the stunning Hi-S match range from Free Spirit & more

Commercial models that break the mould!

-

WELL known for its High-S carp rods, Free Spirit has just added 16 top-end match rods to its line-up.

These include eight Carp Feeder rods and a further eight Carp Waggler models.

HI-S CARP WAGGLERS

Using ultra-low-resin 40t carbon with 1k woven butt sections, these rods are light, strong and bend progressively, giving control when needed while still allowing the use of light lines and hooklinks.

The highly responsive tip makes easy work of flicking out light floats, and will cope with heavier pellet and splasher wagglers too.

Small commercial lakes are catered for with the 9ft and 10ft models, while the all-round 11ft and 12ft rods are suited to large open reservoirs.

If you need more power then there’s the 12ft ‘S’ rod which has a stepped-up action and a longer handle for maximum casting.

All blanks have the unique ‘Perdurable’ finish which is very resistant to damage, and they boast Fuji TVSM16 open reel seats for more ‘feel’ through the blanks and shorter handles to allow easy change of direction when playing fish close to the net.

Top-end Kigan HL Hi-StandOff match guides allow heavier lines to pass through them with minimal friction, reducing the likelihood of crack-offs.

All the rods in the Hi-S range feature ‘fold-friendly’ ringing for breaking down with reels and rigs attached, while the rod bags have reel pouches for easy transport to the bank.

HI-S CARP FEEDERS

SHARING the same carbons, finish, reel seats and short handles as the Waggler rods, the Feeders are light but impressively strong.

Hollow quivertips do away with dead spots, since there is no abrupt transition from solid tip to hollow blank, and the progressive action gives a subtle power buildup that puts the angler in control.

The top-end Kigan Z guides and anti-frap MZ tip rings are far less prone to line catching in them and causing a crack-off on the cast, and they are of a large enough diameter to enable them to be used with shockleaders.

This range comes in lengths from 9ft and 10ft versions for smaller lakes, through to 11ft and the stepped-up 12ft ‘S’ for big waters.

Price: £259-£319
