SOME big weights were expected for this qualifier, and the fishery didn’t disappoint. Garbolino/ Bait-Tech’s Mike McMillan took his place in the big final after weighing in 198-6-0 of carp to 8lb plus F1s off peg 67 on Lake 2, where he fished pellet at 16m and over groundbait in the margins.
The man to miss out by just one carp was Adam Southgate, who finished with 196-4-0 of carp and F1s from peg 55 on the same lake. Like the winner, the Sensas Oakwood Angling man fished pellet long and then meat and groundbait in the margins.
