pellets is one of the easiest ways of attaching them to your hook. But hard pellets sink relatively quickly so you have to feed frequently to keep fish up in the water.

So why not try soft expander pellets? By pumping them only one or two times and leaving them to rest, they will take on some water and will sink slowly through the water layers, keeping the carp rooting around shallow for longer. Expanders can also be nicked on to the hook really easily!
