THE Daiwa Match Winner Competition range of poles has a model to suit your needs – and budget!
From the top end 16m Competition 5 for the serious match angler down to the 13m Competition 1, a perfect pole for the newcomer, all Match Winners are made on the same mandrel profile for total compatibility – ideal if you want to upgrade to a pricier pole but keep the top kits and extensions from your original.
High grade carbons boast dedicated areas of reinforcement applied selectively to limit additional weight, resulting in strong, well-balanced poles that are not sloppy when fished at the full length or unwieldy over the course of a five-hour session.
All models are fitted with a Match top-3 kit with a 3mm tip, while spare Match and Power kits on all poles arrive pre-cut and bushed with UK-made Pure PTFE bushes (3mm and 4mm). Daiwa’s ‘pre-bore’ wrap will let you fit side puller systems if required.
A great added extra is the inclusion of a Daiwa Phex extension. This, added to the pole, lengthens it beyond the original
stated distance. Slot in the Super No4 section (supplied with the Competition 5, 4 and 3 poles) and extra power is added.
Each model comes with a dedicated cupping kit and cups plus a pole holdall and tubes, and is finished with a slide-easy matt paint finish on the cosmetic sections. A section alignment system lets you get the maximum rigidity from the pole.
