But time is running out for day-ticket rods at Highfield

MOST people who visit Blackpool come for the vibrant nightlife and dazzling illuminations.

But the town is also surrounded by some of the best fisheries around. At Highfield, a short five-minute drive from Blackpool Tower, you can be setting up on the banks of one of three on site lakes.

Right now 100lb-plus weights are falling in matches and

pleasure anglers are reporting big carp down the edges and up to the islands.

But in March 2018 the owner is planning to turn Highfield into a syndicate-only complex, leaving less than four months for you to come and sample its fine sport.
