THE 90-peg Specimen Lake is fishing its socks off. The Specimen Lake is 20 acres of prime carp and bream water to test the skills of any angler.

This big-fish water is home to roach to 2lb 8oz, bream to double figures, perch to 4lb and tench to over 7lb. The carp go to well over 30lb and can be caught on feeder gear.

All methods will work, with pellet waggler, short and long pole, tip and margin fishing all accounting for large weights of carp and skimmers.

The bream and skimmer fishing on the Specimen Lake is phenomenal, with ton-plus catches commonplace.
