We reveal Tri-Cast’s new range of distance feeder rods

CARBON manufacturing specialist Tri-Cast has launched these three new Long Range Feeder rods.

Based on the current demand for specialised feeder casting models, each one of the UK-built beauties has a super-stiff casting action condensed into its butt section, but the unbridled lower blank power has also been cleverly matched with a softer top section for hooking and playing softmouthed fish, and superb bite registration.

Long Range Feeder models can cast great distances. Tri-Cast claims that the 14ft Extreme model will cast well beyond 100m, but with more than enough line pick-up speed to allow you to connect with the shyest of bites when using braids or standard mono reel lines.

All three blanks are furnished with the latest cutting-edge American winch reel fittings ensuring your reel will not twist or move when under intense casting pressure, and these are combined with super hi-tech lined guides (also from the States).

The 12ft Medium Range feeder can be used with 2lb to 6lb reel lines, will cast weights up to 120g and comes with three graded quivertips with 1oz, 1.5oz and 2oz test curves. The 13ft Long Range is compatible with 2lb to 8lb reel lines, will cast up to 150g and comes with the same quivertip arrangement as the 12ft rod.

The 14ft Extreme version is usable with reel lines from 2lb to 10lb, will cast weights up to 200g, and comes supplied with graded 1.75oz, 2oz and 3oz quivertips. Price: 12ft Medium Long Range Feeder £219.99; 13ft Long Range Feeder £249.99; 14ft Extreme Long Range Feeder £269.99
