Sensas North took second on 26 and at the top of the table Barnsley have a perfect two points, four in front of Sensas North. Top rod was Craig Ellis, of Tri-Cast Calder, with 10-14-0 of skimmers taken on pellet and maggot at 14m from peg 39. Last week’s round one winner, Frankie Gianoncell­i, was second with 9-3-0 of skimmers on pellet and maggot fished at 14m and on the feeder from peg 48.

ANGLING TRUST HERONBROOK FISHERIES WINTER LEAGUE (SUN) All lakes (64 pegs) Round one kicked off with victory for Drennan NW on 24 points, eight in front of Maver Midlands, the individual race being won by Maver Gold Dynamite Baits man Alex Hulme with 145-0-0 off peg 5 on the Island Pool. He took carp and F1s on meat fished at 16m and 9m. Meat also worked for runner-up Tim Jolly, of Stoke MG, as he replied with 137-11-0 of carp and F1s from peg 27 on Meadow.

Pellet at 14m and in the margins gave him 119-1-0 of carp to double figures.

MILL HOUSE FISHERIES (SUN) Mistral Lake (41 pegs) Fresh from winning at Partridge the day before, Jamie Hughes also found victory at Mill House, with 66-12-0 of carp to 3lb from peg 55. Here he fished pellet and corn at 12m and down the edge. Kurtis Rothwell took second with 58-6-0 of carp to 4lb on pellet fished at 13m from peg 18.

The Blacks won the day with 34 points and had the top two weights. Richard East won with 17-12-0 from peg D1, taking two big carp backed by a few smaller specimens plus roach and skimmers on maggot fished at 14m and on the bomb. Six chub on caster saw Chris Roberts into second with 12-11-0. ULLEY RESERVOIR PAIRS (SAT & SUN) Ulley Reservoir (30 pegs) This first match of the autumn at the Sheffield water saw the Vespe duo of Steve Edson and Pete Allott win with a total weight of 45-9-0. Second were Rob Hall and Jason Farmer with 36-11-8. Roach dominated day one, Jake Dye weighing in 17-4-0 of them on feeder and maggot from peg 33 to win. On day two, bream and skimmers showed, with Brian Searle taking 20-4-0 off peg 27 on groundbait feeder with maggot

and worm.

ABC BAITS HEREFORD DAA WINTER LEAGUE (SUN) River Wye, Hereford (71 pegs) Round one failed to produce the expected big barbel and chub weights, Matt Greening winning with 43-11-0 of chub and barbel on feeder and maggot from peg 101 on the tennis courts section. NORWICH DAA BROADS FESTIVAL (WEDS & THURS) Rivers Bure & Thurne (70 pegs) Dozens of double-figure nets were achieved each day. Overall, Dusty Kiddell won with a perfect two-point score, although three other anglers also finished on that score, aggregate weight of 57-5-0 seeing Dusty home from runner-up Barry Oliver. Martin Spence won day one with 41-6-0 of bream and skimmers on feeder and worm or maggot from the Thurne at Martham. Steve Clark took day two with

43-8-0 of bream, roach and skimmers from the Thurne again, but at Potter Heigham as he caught on the pole at 11m with maggot and worm.
