Downsized beans

KEITH Arthur’s piece about using aduki beans instead of tares (October 3 issue) gave the photographic impression that they are similar in size to tares.

In fact my Tesco aduki beans, cooked overnight in a vacuum flask, are the same size, raw and cooked, as hemp.

A thin skin contains the slightly hard, baked bean-like contents. JS, Herts
