Tom rewarded by rare albino carp at Rycroft
THERE is one known albino common carp in the Specimen Lake at Rycroft Fisheries, Leics, and young Tom Moore managed to catch it at 17lb. During a 24-hour session with a friend, Tom had to wait until the morning of the second day for a bite. He told Angling Times: “We got to the second day of our 24-hour session and I had a screaming run. As I was playing the fish, it surfaced and I could see it was the albino carp! All the anglers were watching me through the fight and, as I netted it,
everyone cheered. I was lost for words.”
