STUNNING LINEAR BAGS TOP PRIZE

Angling Times (UK) - - TACTICS -

THIS month’s top award goes to Chris Beasley, who banked this truly gorgeous 47lb linear from Dinton Pastures, Berkshire.

The 29-year-old landed it after a nerve-wracking fight that included handlining in a mountain of weed and taking to a boat. It fell to a Sticky Signature Squid pop-up on a hinged stiff rig, fished over 5kg of Sticky Krill boilies as loosefeed.

Linear carp don’t come much better looking! Dan Wildbore was filming with Adam Penning at Sandhurst but managed to get his rods out and bag this 41lb 6oz mirror known as Pinhead. Ed Betteridge used a homemade Mainline Cell wafter to tempt ‘Colin’ at 50lb 10oz from Shallow Lagoon on the St Ives complex in Cambridgeshire.

Matthew Roberts used an 18mm CC Moore Pacific Tuna boilie to bank the Scar Common at 41lb 8oz from Swan Lake on the Bluebell Lakes complex.

Tony Gibson caught this 50lb 2oz common from Swan Lake on the Bluebell complex. A Dynamite Complex-T corkball pop-up did the business.

Dovecote Lakes in Milton Keynes produced this 45lb 4oz mirror for Jason Lancaster on a mix of CC Moore boilies, hemp and corn.

Weighing in at exactly 40lb, this mirror was joined by a 38lb common for Gardner’s Lewis Read at Wellington Country Park, Berkshire.
