‘Ignore bad press’ plea

AN ANGLO-Eastern European social session has been praised by the boss of a Notts fishery.

Some 44 anglers from Lithuania, Slovakia, Poland and England took part in an Active Baits event at Trent View.

“These Eastern Europeans get some horrible press coverage for a few bad apples,” said venue chief Ian Harley, “but I enjoyed hosting these lads.

“They were polite, respectful and friendly, and I would recommend any lake that they contact to use in the future to give them a chance.”

Michal Kluk won the match with a 50lb 10oz haul.
