Winter opens on the Wear

THE River Wear doesn’t see many open matches, but Durham City AC is looking to change that with four events running through the winter and taking in the Shincliffe Hall and Maiden Castle sections, depending on river levels and the time of year.

Tickets are £10 all in, with space limited to 40 anglers. The draw for each match is at the Maiden Castle Sports Centre in Durham at 9.15am.

Dates: Sunday, Dec 3; Sunday, Jan 14; Sunday, Feb 11 and Sunday, March 11.
