THIRD 15lb BARBEL THIS YEAR
Ian Potts’ latest barbel adventure saw him take this chunky 15lb 1oz fish – his third over 15lb so far this season.
The Angling Dynamics-backed angler received a powerful bite just after dark and finally netted the specimen after a short fight.
His end tackle consisted of a 25lb GW Rig Solutions Xposed uncoated braid hooklink, a size 8 Xbss barbel hook and an Angling Dynamics test bait boilie.
TOP TIP: “When fishing weir pools for barbel with boilies, attach a stringer or a small PVA bag of around five or six offerings to your hook. You will get bites much quicker this way.”
