STONNES FISHERY, SHEERNESS, KENT
Winter nets to 30lb of carp are to be had on the Match Lake here to pole fished maggot and 4mm expander pellets. The majority of the fish are being caught at mid-depth, so use a strung-out shotting pattern to ensure the bait falls naturally. Contact: 01795 580411 Postcode: ME12 3AA
SUMMERHAYES FISHERY, BRIDGWATER, SOMERSET
The hot pegs on Longs Lake are 30 and 34. Skimmer and roach nets to over 20lb can be caught fishing pellet at 5m and 10m. It’s worth taking a pint of casters as a change bait, as these silver fish can become wary of the pellets. Fish them down the edge or 1m from the bank late on for the bigger stamp fish.
