GOLD VALLEY LAKES TEAMS OF FOUR (SAT) Syndicate & Middle Lakes (40 pegs) Daiwa Dorking failed to make the top six on the day, but their overall lead remains intact as they are three points clear of the Hybrids side. Hybrids won the day with 30 points from Banstead on 27. Top rod was Burt Baits-backed Gary Clifford, at peg 119 on Syndicate Lake, where he fished bomb and pellet and pellet at 14m to weigh in 81-12-0 of carp to 9lb. Second was Dave Lewis, some way behind with 59-8-0.

LAKE JOHN (SUN) Top Lake (26 pegs) With the Winter League on the horizon, Sunday’s open drew a capacity crowd. They saw former Essex County star Gary Miller, pictured, lead the way from peg 39 with 57-8-0 of roach, bream and skimmers taken on maggot at 13m and 10m, plus a bonus 10lb carp on pellet at 14.5m. Paul Solen claimed second spot from nearby peg 36 with 44-8-0.

OCKENDON BAIT & TACKLE (SUN) Puddledock Farm, Snake Lake (35 pegs) Alan Tuck enjoyed a runaway win on Snake Lake, as the Angling Direct Suffolk man drew form peg 99. He fished maggot at 13m to the far bank all day to weigh in 172-2-0 of carp to 6lb. Second was Tony Todd, on peg 6, with 144-8-0 of carp to 9lb plus a few skimmers, fishing maggot at 12m and 6m.

SENSAS COMMERCIAL HOUSE CHRISTMAS (SUN) Kennet & Avon Canal, Malt House – The George (25 pegs) This festive event saw Commercial House league organiser Vince Lunn take the spoils from his peg on the Malt House section as he rotated two lines with breadpunch at 4m and 11m to weigh in a fine 13-4-0 of roach to 10oz, plus small skimmers. Second went to Richard Chave

at Meadow Farm Bridge, where he began with punch at 4m, then changed to bloodworm at 9m for 8-13-0 of roach and perch plus a few skimmers.

SENSAS M5 ANGLING SOMERSET AUTUMN LEAGUE (SUN) River Tone (44 pegs) This small river produced some impressive leading weights for the final round with 20lb needed to make the top four. Terminator­s man Dick Bull won off peg 6 with 18-700 of chub to 3lb. He fished stick float and maggot. Paul Greenwood, of Sensas M5 Angling, was second with 16-000 of similarsiz­ed chub on stick float and long pole with maggot at peg 2. Team wise, Sensas M5 Angling won with 36 points from Monkey’s Marauders on 32, but they couldn’t catch Somerset Angling who were crowned champions with 17 points.
