FeederMasters
Decoy, Gloucester Canal and JCB Lakes are all included
New venues for 2018
PRESTON Innovations FeederMasters is back for 2018 with three new venues alongside some old favourites, all picked to offer the angler a real test of tip fishing skills across the board.
Now in its third year, FeederMasters 2017 saw Darren Cox take the silverware after the Bough Beech Reservoir Final, and the New Year will see 20 qualifiers taking place across the UK and Ireland, three anglers from each qualifying for September’s two-day final at the Kent water.
This year’s newbies are interesting, with Decoy Lakes in Cambridgeshire giving carp fans something to get stuck into, the Gloucester Canal in total contrast, and the prolific JCB Lakes in Staffordshire, formerly home to the Angling Times Supercup Final.
“These venues bring their own challenges for anglers. Fishing at distance isn’t a must, but using all of the water and the peg’s features is necessary to get the best result,” said event co-organiser and Preston Innovations star Lee Kerry. “Tickets will go on sale on January 15, 2018, and we have set the launch time of 8pm to ensure that as many people as possible have the best chance of getting these sought-after entries.
“As usual with FeederMasters, we will be operating on a firstcome, first-served basis, so please be patient and use your log-on time wisely to ensure you get through and get the tickets that you want.”
Alongside the individual event, dates have also been announced for the teams-of-four Sonubaits Superleague, where £3,000 will go to the winning quartet.
An additional round is added, which means five legs of action across natural and commercial venues.
An added carrot is that, for the first time, the top six teams at the end of the league will qualify to take part in the FeederMasters World Cup in October 2018.
