A big last round winning weight propelled Scott Walsh to overall victory in the league as he finished with 103-8-0 to relegate Joe Cartwright into second spot on 95-15-0. Scott drew peg 7 on Lake 2 and fished caster at 13m and maggot on a shorter line to weigh in a fine 49-2-0 of skimmers, roach and ide, ending up well in front of a tie for second between Jimmy Hines and James Place.

Quality skimmers made up the winning 37-10-0 of Mosella Quaker man Johnny Maddison, who drew peg 16 on Kestrel Lake and fished waggler and maggot before changing to the pole at 13m. Sammy Rambow Junior followed with 23-12-0 of mainly roach plus the odd skimmer, drawing peg 15 on Swallow Lake and fishing maggot at 12m.

As the team to finish with the most catchers, Northaller­ton DAC won this annual massive match on both the team points and team weight front, scoring 92 points and totalling 59-9-0. They also had the top two individual­s as Nathan Proctor won and Joe Hardcastle took second. Nathan drew in A section at the copse and fished bomb with steak, cheese and worm to land four decent chub for 17-12-0. Joe, at Gatenby in D section, fished bread to tempt four chub for 16-2-0.

Numbers were up but weights were low, 7-15-0 winning the day for Liverpool rod Ken Dooley. At peg 80 he fished cage feeder and maggot for a mix of roach and skimmers. Second went to Mike Topping with a level 7-0-0 of skimmers on cage feeder.
