RIVERFEST 2018

I THINK most people would agree that the jewel in the crown of river fishing competitions is RiverFest. When I created it back in 2013 I was certain it was what we needed, and it has grown in popularity every year since.

This year, the final has a new home. After five years at Hereford, it’s moving to the River Severn at Shrewsbury and I’m expecting it to be a great two-day event. It was time for a move, but I would like to say a very big thank you to Hereford and District AA for hosting the last five finals.

We have seen some excellent winning catches along the way, and a lot of new friendships have been created as a result of the competition.

I didn’t qualify last year, but I’ll be going all out to try and get through this time, as it’s such an exciting weekend to be a part of.
