“I CAUGHT all my fish using a 4x14 RW Dink float, but I set up lighter versions too with a more strung-out shotting pattern to give the bait a slower fall through the water.
“A 4x12 float worked well the week before, when I was fishing on the drop, and the plan was to change to this lighter float if I was getting indications as the float or bait was settling.
“After the match I did wonder if I’d have caught on a heavier 4x16 float. Given how many fish were there, it might just have happened!”
