HOOKBAITS
IN TERMS of hookbait choice it’s all about bright colours.
I will always kick off on a brightly coloured wafter, either a fluoro pink or an orange, as these tend to get you the quickest response.
However, if I am getting indications but no bites then a washed-out yellow Wafter is a great change bait. These really blend in with the micros on the feeder and will therefore fool even the wariest of carp.
I use Ringers 6mm wafters and I prefer the smaller size. I find the 10mms are just a bit big for the mini Hybrid feeder, plus you don’t need big hookbaits to catch big carp!
