Festival cuts 60-peg Ouse match short

TRI-CAST YORKSHIRE OUSE MARCH FESTIVAL (TUES & WEDS)

Yorkshire Ouse, Linton, Widdington, Thorpe Underwood & Hunter’s Lodge (60 pegs)

ONLY two days of this festival were completed, owing to snow on the final match, which saw things finish early. With generous backing from Tri-Cast, Bob-Co Tackle, Maver, Garbolino, Cadence Fishing, York Tackle, Browning and Matrix, there was plenty to compete for but the fishing was poor.

Day one went to Stan Haigh with 2-4-0 of roach on groundbait feeder and worm or maggot from peg 286 at Linton, which saw him lift the Bob-Co Trophy.

Day two had the Garbolino trophy up for grabs, and Dean Grace took that with 2-8-0 of roach on the feeder with maggot from the winning peg from the day before.

Overall, Daiwa Dons man Steve Lowther was crowned champion with 37 points but only on weight, as evergreen ace Denis White scored the same total.
