The river was in a dreadful state, with lots of dry nets, and a single fish won the match. Keith Russell netted a barbel on feeder and pellet from peg 56 to weigh in 9-2-0, while second-placed John Gill took two barbel on feeder and meat in the last half-hour to weigh 9-1-0. The JMR outfit won the day with 36 points but couldn’t catch Bridgnorth AS overall, who tallied 76 points to win by 11.
