SHOULD I BE BOOSTING MY PARTICLES?

-

QWould you add anything to prepared particles to give them a special boost? Andy Flatman, Cheshire

ALoz East: Okay, I’ll assume that you’re buying the particles already cooked, Andy? If you were preparing your own particles then my answer might be altogether different!

Okay, there’s a two-pronged response here and I’m going to keep things as simple as I can. There is no shortage of additives, liquids and even things like salt or chilli flakes that you can add to prepared particles, but one that is well worth considering is Multi Stim, which I really do rate highly.

Multi Stim is a liquid feed stimulator and attractor and you can add it in small or large doses. It’s not oil-based so it works equally well in all water temperatures, and it’s not overly expensive either. I’d even suggest soaking your hookbaits in Multi Stim for use over the top of your particles.

There is, of course, an even easier option and that is to use the Mainline Power+ particles, one of which is prepared using Multi Stim. I don’t like to overtly plug tackle or bait products but these particles really are a bit special and take all the hassle out of using particle baits. They’re also PVA friendly, so you could even get a tub to use in small mesh bags over the top of your free bait.

Trust me, that is one massive edge that you can employ to get one over on the other anglers on your particular lake.
