PELLET PREPARATION

-

FEEDER work on commercials is all about using only micro pellets as feed.

The way that I prepare my micros for a pellet or cage feeder differs greatly from how I do them for the Method.

Unlike the Method I know that the pellets will stay in all the way to the bottom, but make micros too damp and they won’t empty out properly.

Here’s how I prepare mine... 1 I use the Preston Pellet Wetter as it makes preparation so much easier. First I fill the bowl with water. 2 The micro pellets are now poured into the mesh bag and zipped up. 3 The full bag is plunged into the bowl of water, but only for five seconds or so. 4 Pull the bag out and let most of the water drain off. Leave the bag on the bank for 10 minutes to drain fully. 5 The finished micros won’t be damp enough to be squeezed hard into a ball and shouldn’t feel wet to the touch.
