COUNTDOWN TO TIDEFEST

TIDEFEST 2018 is open for business as the Angling Trust this week announced details of the September event fished on the tidal Thames in London. It’s all in aid of the angling charity Get Hooked on Fishing.

The 50-peg match, sponsored again by Thames Water, sees a first prize of £600. Previous events produced 30lb-plus bags of bream along with some quality roach and dace.

Taking place on Sunday September 2, three areas of gravel foreshore from Kew Bridge to Barnes, one section at Chiswick Bridge and two sections at Strand on the Green will be used. Tickets are £20 all in with £50 being paid out for every five pegs alongside the overall top four. Fishing is from 9.30am until 2.30pm.
