Blagdon Farm
Great fun for the whole family at Blagdon Farm
THE 1.5-acre coarse fishing lake at Blagdon Hall Farm is surrounded by eight luxury lodges and a caravan site making it the ideal place for a holiday by the water’s edge.
Located between Holsworthy and Launceston, visitors can experience not only the stunning Devon countryside but also the scenic South West coast with its bays and coves.
There are plenty of attractions and in the nearby area – from the Eden Project to the spectacular scenery of Dartmoor and Exmoor. The park itself has more than enough to keep you entertained, with an indoor pool, games room and woodland walks.
The woodland-surrounded lake provides a good day’s sport for well-conditioned carp, rudd, roach and bream, with some elusive but sizeable grass carp up to 16lb. Most of the fishing is at close quarters with the ledges being the productive areas. The fishery is now associated with Devon-based Pallatrax, whose excellent bait and tackle you can purchase onsite.
The lakeside lodges are equipped with everything you will need to make your stay hassle free and incorporate HD flat screen TVs, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, cooker and microwaves. Free WIFI is available in all public areas throughout the complex including the lake. Every lodge has a covered porch where you can keep your gear. Blagdon Farm was custom-built for disbale access and all lodges are rather rated M3A or M3I.
