BRING THE POLE AND ENJOY FOUR AMAZING LAKES

Yoke Hill Fishery has all you need on site

-

YOKE Hill Fishery offers excellent sport for match and pleasure anglers alike.

The pole works best on the five lakes here, four of which are currently open for fishing.

The Figure-of-Eight Lake holds carp to 20lb as well as a good stock of fish in the 8lb-10lb bracket, therefore it’s important to use strong yet subtle tackle in order to connect with them.

A 0.15mm line is advised, but make sure to team this with the smallest hook you can get away with – the carp in this water are highly cautious.

Corn and paste work well in the margins, and by targeting this area of the lake you can often encounter the largest specimens.

Two strip lakes can also be found at this fishery and these are filled with barbel, F1s, bream and carp. There is a No10 elastic limit on these waters, so balanced end tackle is important to ensure all fish you hook are landed. A 0.12mm line coupled with a size 18 hook completes a typical set-up and baits of maggot, corn and pellet score well. Fishing at your feet is all you need to do to put yourself in contact with this water’s plentiful stocks. Just be sure to keep the feed going in to hold the fish in your swim.

Hectors Lake is an ideal venue for young anglers, where a mixed net of fish can be taken on simple pole or float tactics using maggot, corn and pellet on the hook. Carp to 12lb can also be encountered in this lake, so be prepared for a few surprises.
