BIG RIVER PERCH!

Specimen ace Dai Gribble reveals his rig and bait secrets for success

-

NEWS of a new fishing show for anglers in the Midlands has been well received, if the emails from Angling Times readers over the past week or so are anything to go by.

It’s been a long time since the last public shows in the area (at the NEC in Birmingham), and I’m confident the new Stoneleigh Park-based event in April 2019 will grow to become even better.

There are a lot of big tackle manufacturers and retailers already booked in, and more and more big names are signing up as we speak.

We’re giving the Stoneleigh show, and the Big One in Farnborough in March, our full support and I hope you will too – find out more on P7 this week or head to www.thebigoneshow.co.uk

We pride ourselves on having the best columnists writing for you every week but they’re not in just because of who they are – they write every week as they’re at the cutting edge.

This week’s issue is packed with great advice from them, with everything from picking the right deadbait and tying safe rigs for your first predator session of the season, to smashing the stillwaters on rod and pole and tempting bigger catches from our autumn rivers.

It’s all too easy to get negative about fishing as the season changes and temperatures fall, but this really is a fantastic time of year to be out on the bank. Not only are the fish having a great big feed up for winter, but there’s the bonus of fishing amid some stunning natural backdrops of autumn colours.

Get out there and soak it all up!
