Consistent sport at Court Farm
IF YOU are looking for a consistent match/pleasure water that will produce bites on the hardest of days then Court Farm Fishery may be just the place for you.
This 1.5 acre lake has 20 well-spaced pegs and is stocked with carp, rudd and perch. The 3,000 carp in the lake average around the 2lb mark and top out at 6lb, meaning they can provide great sport on light pole tackle. The healthy stock of 5,000 rudd can produce frantic action up in the water on the waggler and hit weights of 1lb 8oz.
The five-hour match record is 159lb and 100lb bags are still coming out now. Fishery owner Gavin Davies gave us some inside information, and said: “Most matches are won with carp expander or banded pellets, then loosefeeding micros and 4mm pellet to bring the fish into the swim. In the height of summer paste can be a real winner but it doesn’t fish all that long before the fish wise up.
“The most recent match was won by an angler fishing white maggots over micro pellets. This produced a 123lb bag despite a heavy frost the night before.
“As we built the lake from scratch and designed it ourselves we have been able to make the lake as fair as possible, so it’s always the case of the best angler on the day rather than a
peg or area always winning.” LOCATION: Court Farm, Jennet Tree Lane, Worcester, Worcestershire CONTACT: 07816 941815 PRICES: £8 per day, £6 for concessions and juniors.
