DAIWA’S Match Winner Competition range features five stunning long poles that are sure to appeal to a broad range of anglers, as well as a wide variety of fishing styles. That’s down in no small measure to the wide choice of lengths, top kit packages and added extras throughout the models on offer.

From the top-end 16m Competition 5 for the serious match anglers that oozes class down to the 13m Competition 1, the ideal choice for the newcomer to fishing with a pole, all models are made on the same mandrel profile for total compatibility across the range. This is ideal if you want to upgrade to more expensive Match Winner model but keep the top kits from your original pole!

High-grade carbons have been used, with areas of reinforcement applied selectively to keep weight low while boosting overall strength.

Each pole is fitted with a Match top-3 kit while the Match and Power kits supplied with each model are pre-cut and fitted with PTFE bushes, so no cutting back is needed.

Another feature is Daiwa’s Pre-Bore wrap on the kits that allows you to drill out and fit a side puller system if needed. There’s also the welcome addition of a Phex extension for extra reach plus a Short No4 section with the 3, 4 and 5 poles for more power when fishing at close range for carp and big fish.

Each Match Winner comes with a same-length cupping kit and cups and Slide Easy matt paint on the cosmetic sections, plus a section alignment system for total rigidity at any length.
