BOTH lakes are in excellent form with match and pleasure bags to 100lb being caught.
On Island Pool a variety of methods will work, and targeting several areas should keep you in touch with the fish. Start by fishing to the island with a Method feeder and a hard banded pellet or a wafter on the hook.
Meanwhile, feed a swim around 8m out with pellets and groundbait and fish a soft pellet over the top. You’ll encounter some quality bream alongside the carp.
If you’re searching for the larger carp target Moss Lake, where fish to over 20lb can be caught. In a recent session an angler landed 17 carp to 19lb using pellets on the pole.
The margins are productive throughout the year. Feed micros or 4mm feed pellets and fish either a hard banded pellet or a soft expander over the top.
The bomb can also work well, and using 8mm pellets can bring bites when the fish are further out in the lake.
There are also some quality roach in this water. Feed a cloudy groundbait and fish maggots over the top on the short pole for 30lb bags.
