GREAT PERCH ON A CREATURE

AFTER losing a decent perch and a big pike, Darrell Carter was compensated by this 4lb 7oz stripey.

Fishing a large creature bait on a cheb rig, Darrell nailed the specimen from a syndicate on the Hertshire/Essex border.

He said: “I flicked the lure out into a couple of likely-looking spots to no avail, so I moved down to a different part of the lake. In two casts I lost a big perch and a pike, but after switching over hooks and on the third cast, boom, this lovely sergeant nailed it.”
