HOW DO I CAST IN WIND?

-

Q I get tangles when I fish the waggler in windy conditions. What am I doing wrong?

A There are two things you should do to help with this problem. First, always cast off the side that the wind is blowing to. This will stop most of your tangles. The other thing is not to have too much shot down the line. The more weight you put down, the bigger the float will need to be. As a general guide, use a No6 or No8 shot for every 2ft of depth and make sure your float is always big enough to easily get to the distance where your feed is landing.
