WHAT ROD POSITION?

-

Q When I’m feeder fishing on a big river, where should I position my rod? A Very good question! If there is a decent flow, fish with your rod up high and facing downstream in the same direction as the flow.

Cast the feeder out in front of you, let it sink to the bottom then put the bail-arm over and pay out some slack line. This will put a bow in the line and allow you to hold the bottom with a much lighter feeder that if you were fishing with a tight line.
