Weights took a bit of a dive for this round but it was hardly a surprise in the bitter cold. After breaking the ice out to 16m, Preston Innovations/Fisherman’s Way rod Jon Jowett fished maggot over a little groundbait to weigh in 17-11-0 of roach and small skimmers from peg 5 on Lake 2. Second went to Lee Turner at peg 24 on Lake 4 with 14-12-0 of roach, skimmers and a few ide as he, too, used maggot at 12m. Result:
